In one of the most exclusive areas of Mexico City, surrounded by the lush greenery of the forest, the De La Vega Arquitectura studio has realised Jacarandas, a project in collaboration with Minotti Mexico by Hajj Designless, in which the sophisticated and welcoming design of the Minotti pieces furnishes the extensive outdoor area. The architecture of this private residence is developed on two floors: the more intimate and cosy upper floor is destined for the night area, while the ground floor overlooks the greenery that runs along the entire perimeter of the villa, in a succession of verandas, loggias, walkways and large windows. With the aim of finding the right balance between indoors and outdoors, in a fluid dialogue of textures, colours and materials, here the harmonious and timeless lines of Minotti’s furnishing pieces have brought to life original and comfortable spaces with no apparent boundaries. The dwelling bears the name of Jacarandas, Mexico City’s most representative tree distinguished by its high-quality wood which, every spring, fills the city’s boulevards with its lilac-coloured foliage. And it is precisely the quality of the materials that characterises the furnishing pieces chosen for this project: the designs by Minotti add personality to the open-air space, alternating settings dedicated to relaxation with more convivial areas. The quiet and intimate porch area hosts the iconic organic shape of Florida seating system, accompanied by the Halley Outdoor armchairs. Next to it, there is a private dining area with a round table, where neutral colours are interspersed with touches of blue given by the soft upholstery of the Aston Cord Outdoor dining little armchairs, all designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. |
